Well this is late. Sorry (not sorry) sometimes I don't get things done on time. Which if you know me is so NOT something I would ahve said before this baby! However, that is just one of the many things that has changed since little David was born!
I was never the "mommy" type. Altough if you ask my roommates they may tell you otherwise. I was always the one who was reminding people to get their coats or not bring their sweatshirt since it was Florida and 100 degrees and i would just end up carrying it for them (Sarah and Caitlin) or packing their bag (Kim) or reminding them to get their ID and House keys (Katy) and yes I even drove a mini van and was proud of it! However, I was not good at babies. I didn't really like to hold them, I didn't know what to do when I got them, and I really didn't know how to make them stop crying.
Well I still can't always make them stop crying, but I am much better! I know how to diaper, feed, and generally keep my baby alive for long periods of time. I even ventured into things I never thought I would like clothe diapering. Super easy btw. Most importantly I have learned to love this little dude so much it hurts, sometimes literally, and I can't imagine my life any other way!
Happy 3 (almost 4) months little man!

David turned 2 months old yesterday! We celebrated by going and getting a free ice cream cone at Ben and Jerry's! He is becoming quite the little man these days. He has loved talking and "playing" with us more and more! We are so thrilled and can't wait to see how he does at his 2 month appointment today!
He Loves Tigger this month!
Daddy Photo bombed us!
He loves to snuggle with both of his Grandma's!
His favorite spot to hang out is definitely his changing table... not sure why, but we're just going with it!

Well our boy went through another right of passage for males in the Summers family this weekend. We took him to the property! We walked him around the field, took a hike to serendipity and of course he tried on his Great Great Grandpa's cowboy hat! Good times were had by all, enjoy the pictures!

Everyone will tell you different things about what you should do with your newborn baby. Most people say you shouldn't do too much ith them during the first month, but I say, you have to get out of the house! Not only will this get your baby used to their carseat and being out and about, it will also get you out of your house and prevent you from going completely stir crazy! Here are some of the places we've taken David these last two weeks!
First trip to Tech's Campus, Go Hokies!
Soon we'll be sending that application to Burrus Hall!
First Hokie Bball game! We lost, but he may have to get used to that!
his very first trip outside!
First big snow!
No we're headed out for lunch!

It was been a LONG time since i've posted anything here! Hopefully that will change, but today we're just going to do a little update. A lot has happened in our lives this year. Justin changed jobs, we are in the proccess of buying another house, we got pregnant, and we had our adorable baby boy David Allan Summers on February 8th, 2014! Talk about a whirlwind! It has been a great ride and we are so looking forward to all the adventures that having a baby will bring! In the first week it has brought joy, tears, excitement, not a lot of sleep, and so many new experiences! It's amazing how much you can love something you know so little about! Here's to many more adventures!

Today is Earth Day! Or in Disney Terms, Animal Kingdom's Birthday! yay! Now I didn't visit Animal Kingdom today, but I did spend a lot of the day being outdoors. Justin had to work in Lexington today so I went with him and he took me to the property! I ran, explored the creek, took a nap, and read some Harry Potter. It was a fabulous day! I also took some pictures! Enjoy!
Go out and explore your outdoors! :0)

For those of you who didn't know Justin and I took a trip to Disney for my birthday! It was so much fun! We did pretty much everything in the short 4 days we were down there.
We left Thursday night and drove down to South Carolina to break up the drive a little bit. We got an early start to Florida on Friday and were able to stop and visit Justin's cousin's Heather and Kaylene and Heather's daughter Chailee for a few hours and then it was on the road again to try and make Justin's other cousin Jake's Football game in Palm Bay. We made it at the start of the 2nd quarter and got to watch him play about 15 minutes before the game got cancelled due to lightening! It was kind of a bummer that we didn't get to see him play more, but it meant we got to visit with everyone more so that was fun! We were able to snatch a few pictures of the football star before the game was over.
He's number 55
Next it was time to go to Disney World! Yay! First we went to Hollywood Studios and Justin got a great shot at the top of the Tower of Terror
The most awesome thing we did this trip was get all dressed up and go to Victoria and Alberts, Disney's 5 diamond restaurant. It was absolutely amazing! Here are some pictures of the meal we had... be jealous!
It was all so gorgeous and delicious I can't even describe the experience, I recommend it for anyone who enjoys food like me!
The second coolest thing we did was we got to experience a sneak peak of Enchanted Tales with Belle! This attraction is party of the new Fantasyland expansion so here are a few things you will see at the attraction.
The que for this ride takes you through Maurice's cottage, the next few pictures are inside his cottage.
II thought this detail was so cute, this is a portrait of young Belle and her Mom!
This attraction lets you suprise Belle with re-telling the story of when she and the Beast met. They pull members of the audience in to play different rolls and this little man was the best beast ever!
These are just a few highlights of our trip. We had a blast and I already can't wait to go again!
Have a Magical Day! :0)
